Another great Tamil song.This song is also dubbed in telugu as Priyatama nee Vachata kusalama.I was actually introduced to the telugu version of this song when my grad school classmate (hahahha..he had a little crush on me back then) played this for me one day.We went on to be great buddies and we always look up to each other for support.

This song gained more popularity,after the release of the Malayalam movie Premam.If you have seen Premam ,this is the song Nivin Pauly's friends sing when he tells them that he has the hots for Malar (Sai Pallavi).

           The original song is composed by Illaiyaraja Sir for the Tamil movie Guna.

I always wanted to learn Carnatic music back when I was kid but I never got there.Well there is no harm is doing some own self study right and this song was a part of my self study.

Sada Paalaya is originally a Parvathi Kirthi(Bhajan) composed by the Carnatic composer G.N.Balasubramaniam.Shruthi (Pitch), Ragam (Melody),Talam(Rhythm),Swaram (Note from the octave),Pallavi (Main portion),Anupallavi (Second Portion) and Charanam (End) are the main elements of any Carnatic song.I have jotted down some detailing of this song below along with the English translation.

Ennavale Adi Ennavale- Tamil lyrics with English Translation

This song is gong to be my valentines day special.I have been listening to a new version of this song lately and I think its just brilliant.This song is composed by A.R.Rahman in the tamil movie Kadhalan directed by Shankar. The magnificent acting and dancing of Prabhu Deva along with  A. R.Rahmans music grandeur is the definitely the  highlight of this movie.The movie was a smasher hit in all the 4 South Indian states and was eventually dubbed in Hindi and Telugu on public demand. The lyrics of this song written by lyricist Vaali emphasis on the concept of love at first sight as Prabhu Deva falls head over heels in love with Nagma the moment he sees her running through the aisle.She pulls his attention unintentionally through the clinging sounds of her anklets(I hope you get the context of the anklet in the song now).I dont really believe in love at first sight but I have heard of some great love at first sight stories which includes the story of my mom and dad.Everyone back in my dads home, say that my dad knew my mom was the one,the moment he saw her and well rest is all history.

This movie has 9 awesome songs and I will be translating some of them later.

The original song sang by Unnikrishnan. The background music is what kills the song esp the violin music.

This is my fav version of Ennavale sang by Arvind Venugopal (Venugopal's son).Arvind does complete justice to the song tho I personally feel he could have brought more emotions with some facial expressions.Just to mention,the flutist is a genius!

After a long tiring 10 hour shift at work, I just opened my playlist and this was the first song that played and it was so relaxing. With valentine's day around the corner,I thought I'd just share this song here(No translation).Well I personally  think the concept of Valentine's day is just a complete rip-off and everything, and anyways for the cheesy girl that I am, I guess everyday is going to be valentine's day once I am all sorted with my Mr. Right.

This is one of the only songs where the video, the singers and the lyrics all  make complete  sense. The lyrics is incredible and this is exactly how I want to love somebody.

So I decided to start with a Christian Malayalam song which I really love.The lyrics is so powerful and I tried my best translating it in English.I learned this song for a church event back in India.We eventually went on to sing this song for the group song competition at Yzest 2011 and bagged 1st place.

This song is sang by Kester and I believe this is one of his best songs ever.
