Kaanthaa- Malayalam Lyrics with English Translation

Yay a new song after a long time. So the epic Thrissur Pooram (annual Thrissur festival) was held yesterday near the Vadakkunnathan Temple in Thrissur and if you’re a Malayali, you definitely know that the Thrissur pooram and the Vallam-khali (Boat race competition) are a really big deal in Kerala. I have never really been to the Thrissur pooram though I have seen it live on TV but they say it is really mesmerizing and one definitely needs to see the pooram at least once in a lifetime. The Thrissur pooram has been referred in Malayalam movie dialogues n number of times and words like vedikkette, aanchadam (sights in the pooram) are used to describe something really beautiful or kickass. So next time a guy comes you vedikette, don’t be mad at him he just meant you are awesome :)
Kaanthaa is the signature nadan (folk) song of the Thrissur pooram and I hope you guys really enjoy it.
Original version of the Kaantha song.I am not sure but I think it is sang by the malayali versatile actor Nedumudi Venu.

Rendition version by Masala coffee sang by Sooraj Santhosh and Varun Sunil.A special shout out to Varun for the awesome chorus and the entire crew for playing the instruments so well.

Rendition version Lyrics with English translation:
